If you missed it, yesterday was National Nachos Day. To our amazement, it was not a Tuesday. That's okay, because we want to give those who've missed the national day and chance to make Saturday an extra lazy day –sans cooking.

Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya is said to be the creator of nachos. While working in a Mexican restaurant as a maître d’ in Piedras Negras in 1943, a group of U.S. Army wives came in one evening and asked for a snack. The kitchen staff had already left for the night, so Anaya threw together something simple - tostadas cut into triangles, topped with cheese and jalapenos, and heated in the oven. The snack was a huge hit with the Army wives, and the "Nacho's Special" was born.

Nachos have come a long way from their humble beginnings. We've rounded up 10 tasty and creative nacho recipes for you to try the day after National Nachos Day.
